  Quebecois Chapiteau Arrives in Atlanta

AG returned from a trip to the frozen north to find this tent behind Atlantic Station. Called the “Grand Chapiteau”, it could only be the new venue for Cirque de Soleil. Performances of the travelling show "Cortero" by this Montreal-based acrobat / circus / dance troupe will run from this Friday the 15th until the 21st, and again from January 9th through 21st.

What's the Polish Word for "Feng Shui"?
Have you checked out Evenings at Emory? Where else are you going to get p.m. Polish lessons in Atlana? My lefty friend learned to write Arabic there; she'll never have to smudge again. You can do the Great Decisions program, learn capoeira, feng shui, and more. At Emory or the Vinings location.

In other news, despite the bankruptcy and hostile takeover threat, Delta inaugurated a new direct route from ATL to Johannesburg today. No more stop in Dakar!

  Please Pass the Pita
Endorsed by a real Palestinian: the pita at Jerusalem Bakery in Marietta. "This is the only real pita in Atlanta," she says. "They cook it in front of you." My friend drives from Gwinnett to Jerusalem every other week for this stuff. AG concurs: delicious!

Canadians Infiltrate Georgia Dome, Play Hockey
Atlanta children don't generally grow up around ice or hockey, much less the union of the two. We only got a MLH team in 1997 and it is mostly Canadians. For your perusal:

Atlanta is a city where you can still run into people you know down at the grocery store. But international? I'll argue "yes" ... in an argument now moved to Concourse E.
