  New Sister City in Gujarat?

We're about to get another sister city, definitely in India and probably Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat. About 40% of area Indians claim Gujarati roots, the Mangalorean reports the India American Cultural Association reports.

Honorary consul for India Kenneth Cutshaw will have a public discussion then make a decision.

In Jamaican news, the AJC ran a feature on May 27 on the Jamaican community in Atlanta. The story wraps around the one-woman show "Jamaica Farewell" just finishing its run at the Academy Theatre in Avondale.

The Jamaican community of Atlanta is estimated at about 24,000.

The neighborhoods in Kingston are numbered 1 through 12, honorary consul Vin Martin explains to the AJC.

"People refer to Atlanta as Kingston 13 because Atlanta is such an attractive name in Kingston."
