European Notes for Europe Day
Europe Day is tomorrow, May 9.
- In honor, SCIS is holding an event so big they have to rent the hall at the Atlanta History Center.
They're having a program called 'A Dialogue on Europe' featuring German Ambassador Klaus Scharioth and French Ambassador Jean-David Levitte. No doubt moderator and SCIS President Peter White has a barrage of questions on hand. What's this? A quicktime movie of Mr. White??
And wowzers, fulltime students and teachers with ID get in free!
- Last week, Delta started direct service from ATL to Prague.
- Also, shouts out to Atlanta resident Frans de Waal, one of the world's top Primatologists. Time magazine just named him one of the world's top 100 influential people. Not that Time's list is all that, um . . . 'international', but we like to state any press that Atlanta folks get. And Dr. de Waal deserves a lot. But why categorize this in AG? He's Dutch.
